Guys, I'm trying out TMetric and so far it's being AMAZING! I'm evaluating several tools to leave Toggl, and yours is winning with a great advantage so far.

I have though an important feature to ask you, in order to enhance the detailed report. My clients and I need the tasks' start time and end time when using the Detailed Report, to be able to check the correct time spans for each task and also check billing.

Something kinda Toggl offers at their detailed report (attaching a screenshot of it). Is there anything like that in the roadmap? Thanks!

We have Daily report where time entries are grouped by day. Can this report serve your purpose?

Hi Aleksandr, unfortunately not!

I need the list of all tasks by project within a time span (for example: Monthly, Weekly or even Yearly), and all details for all those tasks, like Name, Project/Client, Start Date, End Date, Time, Billable Time.

Do you think it's possible?

By the way, do you have an API so I can try to fetch this data by myself?

Thanks!

Actually, we do have API. We'll publish some docs with the next release. But we'll not haste calling it the public API.

Hi Aleksandr - I think we're fairly similar to daniel in what we're looking for, and an API would be ideal if one exists. Loving the product so far & early feedback from our users is great.

Do you have any pointers as to where we could find more details on how you implemented the API, so we can figure out how to communicatie with it? I need to report start and end times too.

Here are some points why we hesitate to publish the API:

1. API should be thoroughly documented. Otherwise we'll end up having extra load of technical support.

2. We need to build some sort of protection into our API. Because, for example, ill-written code can produce an undesired performance load onto our servers.

3. The points above require extra efforts, but it's not our main focus right now.

BUT

We've already included this particular feature into the next release, which is to be published by the end of June.

Is there already a way to test the API?

No, not yet. We're holding it back for now. See the reasons above.

The new release adds an option (to the account settings) that enables Start Time and End Time in the Detailed report.
