Purpose of slack integration would serve following purpose.

  • When a team member starts / stops working a task, it would send a notification to a selected channel

Hi Shuja,
Currently, you can use Zapier to integrate TMetric with Slack
Please let me know if this works for you.

This won't work, because the only trigger available is "New task is added"

If there was a trigger for "Started timer on a task", "Stopped timer on a task", it would help

Shuja, thank you for getting back to me.
Kindly address the following questioins:
- Are you using the browser version of Slack or as a downloadable application?
- Since Slack is basically a messanger, but you are referring to starting a task, I presume you are using some sort of integration of Slack with some third party app.
If so, please let me know which one.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Doesn't really matter which version

By task, i meant, a task timer on TMetric. The intention is to use slack channel to get notification on who is working on which task. So, what we need is to get these notifications to a slack channel from TMetric.

Shuja,
Kindly check the available triggers and actions offered by Zapier.
Please let me know if this works for you.

Shuja, I apologize for the confusion. Indeed, only one trigger is currently available.
I've forwarded your feature request to our Dev Team for review.

Hi Vladimir - do you have any update on this issue? Also from our side such an integration is highly needed.

Hi Christoph,
Kindly provide more details as to what kind of integration you would like to have.
How exactly are you planning to use Slack and TMetric?
Once your requirements are crystal-clear, we will be able to investigate the possibility of implementing such behavior.

Hey,

I am also interested in any updates on this issue. This is feature that we have been using for very long time with everhour. Because we are swapping to GitLab, we needed something else. Tmetric looks great but we really need this intergration to work. Here is example how it looks from Everhour when connected to Slack.

I believe because you already have one integration with Zapier and Slack, it wouldn't be difficult just to add new trigger > when timer start > send notification > when timer stops > send it again.

Please let us know. If you are not planning to add this feature soon, we would have to look for different monitoring solution.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Mirek,
We are considering the possibility to add more triggers to Zapier to provide for integration with Slack.
