Hello,

I just started using this app. Seems okay so far, until I started a timer.. The format is showing 0:01.. I would like to change the format to show hh:mm:ss. So Hour, Minutes, and seconds, so I can see exactly how long a task has been going. I checked in the settings and did not see a way to change this.. Please help me with this.. I am using the fire fox extension

Hi Kuran,
Changing time format is available for reports
There are three types of time format to choose from.
Feel free to check this article for more details.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Hello Vladimir,

I understand I can change the time in reports. However, I am talking about the active time that is shown in the firefox extension, or even chrome extension. Also, the time shown in linked applications like todoist. it shows like 0:11 instead of 0:11:55. I would like to see the seconds in the active time for extensions, and as well as the main application, it only shows minutes...

TMetric does not track seconds. Time entries are rounded to the nearest minute. For the purpose of our app tracking seconds make little sense.

So, you cannot use it as a stopwatch.

Hello,

It's very rude for you to say what I would like to see available for my particular work flow makes "little sense", just because you do not see purpose for it.  This is not for the purpose of having a "stopwatch", which actually shows miliseconds and seconds, I don't need miliseconds. However, I would like to see the seconds as soon as I start a task, for one it is acknowledgement, afirmation that the timer is working, and actually counting at the exact time I pressed it, versus showing nothing or 0:00, it would be 0:00:5(seconds) or 00:05 (mm:ss, and then show hours once it has reach that time).

Just because this has no purpose to you does not make it useless, this should just be an option that the user (such as even you) can decide if they need this or not. Just like the 12hr or 24hr format, the user should have the option if they want to see seconds or not, it might not be helpful for you, but it would be helpful for me.

Thank you for your input.

Hi Kuran,
We apologize if our response was in any way inappropriate or offensive.
To the point of your request - we actually had to remove the opportunity to see seconds due to a large number of complaints from users who considered this constant changing of seconds quite distracting.
I hope for your understanding.
We will be happy to help, should you need any further assistance.

Kind regards,
TMetric Team

I'm sorry for offending you with my answer. But I had no intention of being rude. We simply acknowledge the fact that our product cannot fit every possible situation by design.

Still, as far I can see from your last reply, you were asking not about tracking seconds, but about clearer indication of a started task. That's a bit different perspective.
