1. Add some time entries to a project.

2. Wait for a month.

3. Change an hour rate for a person from the project.

4. All money amount of all time entries of the person changes. (even in the past)

People could have different costs of hours in a project cause their qualification grows. It isn't a reason to pay them such salary during all the project. It is a misbehaviour.

It's not a misbehavior, it's a feature misuse.

Billable rates are external rates for the customer. Say, if you are an outsourcing company and you're selling a team extension for the project.

For salary you should use cost rates. The cost rates are applied the day they are changed.

PS

I understand that it's still may be necessary to change a billable rate while the project is running. We're developing the invoicing functionality to deal with this side of the problem.

OK. You correctly described the real issue in your P.S. When are you going to fix it?

Invoicing is not a fix for a bug. It's an extra feature. We plan to release it approx. in a month.

And why aren't cost rates enough for you?

Because "we are an outsourcing company and we're selling a team extension for the project." :)

So you have a long term project and want to change the cost rate and the billable rate for a project member simultaneously.

Is this correct?
