Browser extensions unable to connect

Good Morning

Today I have been unable to connect using the browser extension. When opening the browser, I can log in to the extension. But after this, it still displays as not connected.

If I click on the extension, this is what is shown: 

If I click on "Connect", a browser window is opened and closed immediately. I have tried both Firefox and Chrome. The extension was working perfectly last week. I have tried on a fresh Chrome installation with no browsing history, cache or extension installed. I am able to log into my account via the tmetric website.

I need the extension for integration with Visual Studio Team Services. Please could you assist urgently.

I have the same problem...failed since the weekend...

Chrome extension...

However if I manually start the timer, the chrome extension then logs itself in and works again??

Hi guys,

Our Dev Team is currently looking into this issue.

For now, we can recommend you to start the timer using https://app.tmetric.com

Then, your extension should be able to get synced and work properly.

Hi there,

I'm using Tmetric with Todoist, and experiencing the same problem. The offered solution doesn't work for me, because normally I start the Tmetric timer in Todoist through the Chrome extension in order to link a task in Todoist with the timer. If I start manually, I cannot link it with a Todoist task. (I assume this is the same with every other apps, e.g. Trello). Could you please look into this sev1 issue ASAP or roll back the previous version?

Hi, thanks for the workaround.

I had started manually the dummy task from the web app, then stopped it. After that, I could use the extension, but it seems a bit inconvenient.

Hope you'll fix it!

Yes my team just encountered this problem for the first time this morning, but the workaround with starting a timer via https://app.tmetric.com then using the browser extension worked
